A few months ago, I experienced some throat issues and consulted an ENT specialist to see what the problem was. I underwent a series of tests, including X-rays, MRI scans, and blood tests.

The doctor delivered a troubling diagnosis and said that my throat muscles were hardening and tightening due to past radiation treatment. As a result, I would feel discomfort and was even at risk of choking on my food. He told me that there were lots of bubbles and liquid forming around my throat, which was not good.

At that moment, my heart sank as the doctor continued to advise me that this condition could not be improved and would only worsen until I am unable to swallow safely and would need to use a feeding tube to get my nutrition.

Thankfully, having been well taught by Pastor Prince and many of the other New Creation Church pastors, my inner man turned my attention to the Word, particularly John 10:10, which reminds us that the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but our Lord Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. This scripture lifted my spirit, and despite the grim diagnosis, I felt a sense of peace and security, knowing that everything would ultimately be alright because my Lord Jesus has redeemed me from all these sicknesses and pains at Calvary.

Subsequently, I was referred to another doctor who specialises in the stomach and he required another scope to examine my throat and stomach for any abnormalities. As I prepared for this procedure, I immersed myself in praise and worship, and mediation of the Word.

During a Sunday service on 27 August 2023, Pastor Prince called out my throat condition and prayed for my healing. I was watching the service online and was going to see the stomach doctor the following day for my scope results. I was no longer afraid and even had the confidence and expectation of receiving a good report from the doctor.

Thanks and praise to God, I really received a good report from the doctor. The doctor was surprised that my throat was not narrow and stiff as diagnosed earlier. He also told me that there were no more bubbles or liquid accumulation in my throat, and the tissues around my throat were all good. This was a marked difference from the earlier scope taken by the ENT specialist a few weeks prior.
